The KUED Kids Adventure Pass with Abby, Liam, and Sandy
Tue, October 22nd, 2019
We’re a book-loving family, and every November we get a checkup and reset on our reading habits with the KUED Kids Reading Marathon. We print off the reading chart for the month and my kids (age 11, 9, and 5) track their reading minutes. My 5-year-old son is particularly motivated to read by the KUED Adventure Pass because it includes a trip to Hogle Zoo.
We loved having monthly adventures with the Adventure Pass in January, February, and March. Our spring break was in March and we particularly enjoyed visiting the Aviary and Zoo over spring break. What a wonderful program to motivate kids to read – and get us out into the community during the winter. Thanks, KUED!

The 27th KUED Kids Reading Marathon Kickoff Party is Saturday, November 2 from 9am-1pm at The Salt Lake City Public Library. The whole family will enjoy this FREE event featuring fun STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) and literacy activities celebrating reading. Meet Daniel Tiger, take a picture in the Sesame Street photo booth, pick up a reading log, and take home a free book.
The Reading Marathon encourages children to read 20 minutes each day during the month of November, then enter their minutes online to earn their Adventure Pass. Print your invitation to the party and learn more at kued.org/reading.
