Paper Airplane Craft
Hi friends! It’s guest blogger and artist, Missy, here again with another fun project. Do you ever daydream about where you’d like to travel on vacation someday? I’d love to go snorkeling in Hawaii, hiking in Yosemite, or skiing in Canada! I’d love to get on an airplane and fly all over the world. Since it's Things That Go week at PBS KIDS Utah, I thought it would be fun to make paper airplanes and pretend we are taking a fun vacation.
Supplies:
- White copy or printer paper
- Crayons or markers
Instructions:
- Lay your paper flat vertically and fold in half hotdog style. And open back up.
- Fold the top right corner down to meet the middle line.
- Fold the top left corner down to meet the middle line.
- Fold the new left corner down to meet the middle line.
- Fold the new right corner down to meet the middle line.
- Fold the whole thing in half along the middle line.
- Fold the left side back to meet the middle line.
- Fold the right side back to meet the middle line.
- Your airplane is ready to be decorated with crayon or marker.
Wrap-up:
Now you can play games with your airplane! You can also make more airplanes. One for Hawaii, Yosemite, Canada, or anywhere else you want to travel. You can have contests to see which plane will fly the furthest and which one will fly the highest. Have fun and have a great vacation!
