Supplies:

  • Printed PDF Pattern
  • Parchment or wax paper
  • White string or yarn (six pieces cut to 2' and one piece cut to 8')
  • Scissors
  • Liquid Glue
  • Tape
  • Glitter or glitter glue (optional)

    Instructions:

    1. Tape your PDF pattern underneath a piece of parchment or wax paper.
    2. Trace each of the straight lines through the middle, with a line of liquid glue.
    3. Carefully lay a 2' piece of string on each line of glue.
    4. Trace over each piece of string with another line of glue.
    5. Trace the center spiral of the web, round and round, with a line of glue.
    6. Wrap the 8' piece of string loosely around your arm (this creates a kind of string dispenser and keeps the whole piece from getting in the glue before you want it to).
    7. Carefully lay the 8' piece of string on the spiral once again with a line of glue (use glitter glue if you want)
    8. Trace over the string on the spiral once again with a line of glue.
    9. Sprinkle glitter over the entire web (optional)
    10. Let your web dry for at least 24 hours before removing it from the parchment or wax paper.
    11. Hang your web in a window with tape or string.

      Wrap-Up:

Look at your spooky and beautiful web! If you want to add spiders, you can draw some on paper, color, and cut them out. You can also use Halloween spider rings. Most importantly, have a "spooktacular" time!
