Summer Camp - Road Trip Bingo

During June and July we are sharing with you our favorite Summer Camp activities that you and your kiddos can do from home! Check out this fun road trip game from our guest blogger, Missy.

Hello! I’m a guest blogger for PBS KIDS Utah, named Missy. I’m an artist and illustrator who absolutely loves to travel. I especially like to go on road trips. There’s a special energy in the car as you’re driving to your destination. Sometimes you need a little game to help pass the time.

One summer my husband, my parents, my sister and my nephew went on a road trip from Bountiful, Utah to Disneyland. That’s a pretty long drive for me, let alone a four-year-old. I created this Road Trip Bingo Game for our family to play during our journey.

Print the Road Trip Bingo Cards

Files:

Supplies:

  • Missy’s Road Trip Bingo Boards pages 1-5, printed
  • Pencil

Instructions:

  1. Give each person in your car a bingo board and a pencil.
  2. Look out the window and search for the items pictured on your bingo board.
  3. When you find one of the items pictured, use your pencil to cross that item out on your Bingo board.
  4. Once you get five items in a row (across, down or diagonal) crossed off, yell BINGO! You are the winner!
  5. Have fun and we hope this game will keep everyone from asking, “Are we there yet?”

This game will usually take up at least a couple hours, but if you want it to last longer, you can go for double Bingo or even Black-Out where you check off each item on the board! If you’d like to re-use your Bingo board, you can laminate them and use dry-erase markers on them. Have a fabulous road trip!
