Missy's Toy Parade

Email share

Hello! My name is Missy. I’m an artist and a guest blogger here at PBS KIDS Utah. Have you watched a parade? Have you ever been IN a parade? Parades can be really fun! You get to see bands play and dancers dance and sometimes you get candy! I thought it would be fun to create our own parade with our toys.

Supplies

  • A bunch of small toys
  • A few stuffed animals
  • Painters tape

Instructions

  1. Use your painters tape to create a “parade route” on the carpet in your house. Stretch tape this way and that.
  2. Place the stuffed animals along the sides of the parade route. These are your spectators.
  3. Now carefully line your toys along the route.

Wrap Up

This easy activity is great for preschoolers. It’s good for fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination. Be creative and have fun!
