KUED Garners 22 Awards at 2016 Rocky Mountain Emmys
KUED took home 22 Emmys in nine categories at the 39th Annual Rocky Mountain Emmy Awards in Scottsdale, Arizona on Saturday night. National Park Symphony – The Mighty Five received five Emmys for Arts and Entertainment Special, Editing, Audio Live/Post Production, Photography, and Musical Composition/Arrangement. The music special, which airs nationwide in December, featured spectacular footage of Utah’s five national parks set to music selected and recorded by the Utah Symphony.
Unspoken: America’s Native American Boarding Schools received Emmys for Historical Documentary and Writing. Finding Home: Utah’s Refugee Story received a Cultural Documentary Emmy and the Verve web episode with Utah Symphony Music Director Thierry Fischer received an Emmy for Arts/Entertainment Segment.
