Canyon: Canyonlands, Utah

Located in the southeastern corner of Utah, this land is home to the big-horned sheep which were hunted to near-extinction before becoming a National Park in 1964. Here, the Colorado and the Green Rivers run peacefully through the parks canyons, mesa and buttes until they meet, creating rumbling waves that are perfect for white water rafting.
