Join us for our February Shared Stories Series event, “Shaping Justice: The Enduring Impact of Thurgood Marshall.” We’ll share excerpts from Becoming Thurgood: America’s Social Architect the documentary by filmmaker Stanley Nelson. This program takes a focused look at the life, work, and legacy of America’s first Black Supreme Court Justice, followed by a moderated conversation with U of U Assistant Professor Dr. Dwain Coleman and S.J. Quinney College of Law Professor Dr. Jensie Anderson. Judge Shauna Graves-Robertson of the Third District Justice Court will serve as moderator.
Together, we’ll explore Marshall’s role in ending segregation, advancing constitutional protections, and shaping today’s ongoing pursuit of equity and justice.
Please RSVP to Jessica Rasekhi jrasekhi@pbsutah.org by February 15.
This event is part of our monthly Shared Stories Series in partnership with the Utah Cultural Celebration Center.
