Hello, my name is Han Phuong. I am a first-generation student studying economics under the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences. I am a junior at the University of Utah, and I'm thrilled to have this opportunity to be an intern at PBS Utah. Because I grew up without cable, PBS KIDS was on the TV constantly during the weekdays--in the mornings and after school. It taught me so many things, from ethics to biology, that have stuck with me throughout the years. I wanted to join this team because PBS KIDS has won my appreciation and respect and I want to learn more about the channel that got me through my childhood while also giving back to our community.
Hello. My name is Hailey. I am an honors psychology major and sociology minor who transferred to the University of Utah after my first year at Whitman College, where I swam NCAA D3. I have held numerous previous positions on the University of Utah campus, such as working as a communications intern at the Center for Business, Health, and Prosperity, working as an undergraduate research assistant in the developmental psychology department for the Early Experiences lab, serving as the secretary for the club swim team, and volunteering as a Day Chair in Delta Gamma. I was initially drawn to work at PBS kids because I grew up watching shows such as Sesame Street and Arthur and is self proclaimed as Elmo's biggest fan. I am incredibly passionate about the education department and excited to share their programs with Utah schools. In my free time, I love to swim coach swimming, take pictures, dance, ski, and hang out with my friends, family, and Cavalier puppy.
