
The 33rd Annual Reading Marathon
Read and Dream with PBS Utah this November! We invite Utah children to read 600 min for the month, or 20 minutes a day to earn an Adventure Pass. No need to register! Simply download the reading log, snuggle up with a good book, and keep track of reading minutes.
At the end of the month, submit minutes on our online portal found on here to receive the Adventure Pass. This pass is filled with vouchers contributed by generous community partners for free or reduced pricing on individual and/or family visits to venues around Utah throughout 2026.
The Adventure Pass includes over 20 vouchers for Utah experiences including 1 Free child admission to the Hogle Zoo, 4 free passes to the Ogden Nature Center, 1 Free ferris wheel ride from Scheel's, 1 free admission to the Natural History Museum of Utah, and so much more!

Reading Marathon Kickoff Party
PBS Utah's 33rd annual Reading Marathon returns, inspiring students to Read and Dream! The Kickoff Pajama Party will be held on Saturday, October 25th from 10am-2pm at the Salt Lake Main Library in downtown Salt Lake City. Dress in your coziest pajamas and slippers and join us for a day full of family friendly activities!
Daniel Tiger and Lyla Loops are joining us for a day packed with FREE, engaging, family friendly literacy and STEAM activities with community partners, photo ops, face painting, and creative fun!

Mini Reading Marathon Funding (for Educators)
The application window for the Mini Reading Marathon Funding for rural schools has closed. Applicants will receive word about the status of their application by September 19th.
