The 33rd Annual Reading Marathon 

Congratulations, Readers and Dreamers! You read 600 minutes or more – impressive!  

 
The Reading Marathon has now finished (come back in the Fall of 2026 for our next one)! For those who completed this year's contest, it’s time to enter your Reading Marathon minutes  to receive your 2026 PBS KIDS Utah Adventure Pass. The submission form is open now until midnight on December 31.  

Please fill out separate submission forms for each child (grades preschool – grade 6) who reached the goal and read 600 minutes during the Reading Marathon.  

You will receive an email for each individual with the pass that you must then download, save, and print. Bookmark this email and keep a copy of the pass for your records. Keep the Adventure Pass together and with you when adventuring. Please note: because of the volume of Adventure Pass recipients, we will not be able to maintain and distribute Adventure Passes once they are initially delivered.

How the Adventure Pass Works 

  • The Adventure Pass includes tickets and coupons to your favorite museums, zoos, and activities around town. 
  • The Adventure Pass is valid for 2026. Each coupon is valid for specific months based on the location.  
  • To earn a 2026 Adventure Pass, each child must read (or be read to) for 600 minutes in the November 2025 PBS Utah Reading Marathon. Adventure Passes are valid for children between preschool – 6th grade. 
  • Adults and other family members who do not have an Adventure Pass will pay regular admission prices unless otherwise noted. 
  • The Adventure Pass can only be used one time, at each location, unless otherwise noted.

Mini Reading Marathon Funding (for Educators)

The application window for the Mini Reading Marathon Funding for rural schools has closed.  Applicants will receive word about the status of their application by September 19th.
