Welcome to the 32nd Annual Reading Marathon
PBS KIDS Utah is excited to host our annual Reading Marathon and Adventure Pass program once again, celebrating 32 years of encouraging Utah children to read. Challenge your kids, preschool through sixth grade, to read 20 minutes each day during the month of November. There is no need register before beginning the Reading Marathon. Simply, download your reading log (available soon) and keep track of your reading minutes each day. Then, return to this page between December 1-31 and input your minutes to receive your Adventure Pass.
To kick off this popular community initiative, we invite you to PAWS and Read with us at the Reading Marathon Kickoff Party, hosted at the Main Branch Salt Lake City library. It will be held on Saturday, October 26th, 10AM-2PM. It will be a Halloween party (costumes welcome!) packed with family-friendly fun, STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts Mathematics) and literacy activities, face painting, photo booths, and resources. We will even have some meet and greets with some PBS KIDS characters, who have penciled us into their busy schedule.

El sábado 26 de octubre, de 10 a. m. a 2 p. m., te invitamos a leer con nosotros en la fiesta de inicio del maratón de lectura, que se celebrará en la Biblioteca pública de Salt Lake City, en el centro de la ciudad. Reading Marathon Information
During the month of November, children will read 600 min for the month, or 20 min a day. At the end of the month, they will submit minutes on an online portal to receive a community Adventure Pass. This pass is filled with vouchers contributed by generous community partners for free or reduced pricing on individual and/or family visits to venues around Utah throughout 2025. Return to this page, as the program approaches, for updated information.
