Ways to Give

Audience support keeps PBS Utah strong and growing. There are numerous ways to help support the mission and value of PBS Utah to ensure continued access to quality educational and entertaining content that informs, inspires, and entertains all of Utah.

Please look over the following opportunities available to support PBS Utah.  If you have questions, please use the contact or additional link provided within each opportunity.  Thank you!

Donate to PBS Utah as a Sustaining or Annual Member

Become a member of PBS Utah for $5 per month or more, and enjoy access to thousands of programs and episodes only for members through PBS Passport.  In addition, you’ll receive the monthly Seven Guide.  Increase to $10 per month, and you will also receive the PBS Utah MemberCard, providing you with discounts and incentives to local businesses.  One-time annual donation options are also available.  To donate online, click the Donate Here button below.  To Donate by phone, call 801-581-7777.  To mail in a donation, please address to PBS Utah, PO Box 54, Salt Lake City, UT 84110.

For questions, please contact the Donor Services team at or 801-581-3284.

 Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)

If you are 70½ or older, you can donate up to $100,000 directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to a qualified charity like PBS Utah without it counting as taxable income. This can lower your annual income level and possibly reduce your Medicare premiums and taxes on Social Security income.

Simply direct a charitable distribution to PBS Utah at 101 South Wasatch Drive, SLC, Utah, 84112. Please include your name and address with your gift so we can send you a tax receipt. You can also notify us of your donation by contacting Ja’Naye Payne at or 801-581-3227.

*Please consult your financial advisor regarding the limitations on receiving member or giving club benefits.

 Grants from Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs)

If you have a DAF, recommending a grant to PBS Utah is a seamless process. You can make a gift from your DAF either as a monthly sustainer or with a one-time annual donation. To direct a gift to PBS Utah from your donor-advised fund, share our legal name, address, and federal tax ID. Please note PBS Utah is a department of the University of Utah. Please direct your advisor to search under the University of Utah and indicate PBS Utah as the designated entity. Please include your name and address on your gift so we can properly acknowledge your donation.

There are many ways to give besides financially supporting the station. PBS Utah works with local volunteers to help at events and administrative tasks. Volunteers work in an exciting environment at the Eccles Broadcast Center and in the community to help broaden our reach and connection. Learn more about volunteer opportunities here:

PBS Utah is unable to accept cryptocurrency at this time. If you are interested in making a gift using cryptocurrency, consider working with a Donor-Advised Fund. A Donor-Advised Fund may accept gifts of cryptocurrency and, in turn, allow donors to recommend allocating donated assets to a qualified public charity (such as PBS Utah).
